Oversee our organizational outreach to recruit high school students to run voter registration drives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: hosting regular meetings with New Voters ambassadors in charge of conducting on-the-ground outreach, training the ambassadors on effective recruiting strategies, meeting with partner organizations and community stakeholders to publicize our fellows program, and checking in regularly with the Executive Director. Compensation for this position will be based on how many students are recruited into the fellowship program (Est. time commitment: ~5-8 hrs/week)

Coordinate our mentors program which pairs high school student leaders with experienced youth organizers to support them in running voter registration drives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: hosting regular meetings with mentors, training mentors on how to work with our high school fellows, and checking in regularly with the Executive Director. Work directly with the Executive Director to track and implement organization-wide numerical targets. Responsibilities include: generating daily numerical reports based on team-level progress (ex. number of students recruited, number of drives run), meeting regularly with team leads to assess progress and setbacks, and enforcing accountability mechanisms to keep the organization on track to our goal of running 250 registration drives by April 2024. (Est. time commitment: 3-5 hrs/week)

Civic Innovation Lab ๐Ÿ’ป

The Civic Innovation Lab (CIL) is a new initiative by New Voters dedicated to catalyzing youth civic engagement through technology. New Voters, a student-led 501c3, has registered 80,000 people to vote across 39 states; CIL is building off this momentum through developing technologies that automate, accelerate, and optimize the outreach and engagement work of youth organizers at New Voters and throughout the country.
